For this project, we decided to digitally remix the human head via 3D scanning to create personalized candy dispenser heads!
Hours after publishing the story on our blog, daily traffic increased over 30x, with a long tail of inbound leads that lasted 7 years until present day.
We 3D scanned and digitized our staff first (with an XBOX Kinect and ReconstructMe). After the digital 3D models were generated, we did some patchwork and cleaning up with MeshMixer.
Then, some more modelling was required to add the connection to the candy dispenser before the head was ready to 3D print. Many, many hours of printing later, we had 32 heads for our candy dispensers. Ready to assemble into the finished keepsakes!
